Nothing is more American than Apple Pie, right? Well, hold my beer. Literally. We might not have invented beer or pie, but we sure as hell perfected both. 100 times more fun than paying to pick apples on an autumn day, this crisp, spiced brew is perfect for F.A.L.L. in the U.S.A.

Stronger than apple cider, beefy. Big malt likker blast with an apple followup, if that is what you want to call it. Yes, quite like many malt likkers I've had, and you know, it has that chemical cleaner effect on yah. Some weird hypnotizing apple spice hints sneaking around. I think it was this off warming effect in there too. If we think this is apple pie? No. If we think its to drink with rude ass apple pie? Yes.

Deep, almost perfectly clear golden and peach coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall off-white head that fades fairly quickly, but leaves a very small lace on top. Aroma of apples, canella, nutmeg, bunches of caster sugar, a light hint of caramelised sugars and a good dose of yeast with some moderate alcohol noticeable, mainly from all the extra sugars in here. Medium-bodied; Very strong appley pie flavour somehow with a great layer of crisp apples balanced with a boatload of spices and a nice pungent sweetness with some moderate malty flavours, a touch of alcohol and a slight dryness at the end, but the apples and especially the nutmeg and canella are by far the strongest. Aftertaste is rich with sugars, a good deal of apples, pears and a hint of squash (fuller bodied) at the end, but the spice notes are pungent, in a good way with the canella, coriander seed, allspice and nutmeg on the end. Overall, a very nice and very true to the name beer with a lot of apples, bunches of spices and a great layer of sweetness, all with a good complexity and range, but still slightly easy-drinking. Very nice to sample and almost tastes like the real dessert here, I almost wish I had this around Thanksgiving, although having it in the middle of Winter was perhaps even nicer and makes me pine for the holidays, already! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 27-November-2020 for US$2,79 sampled at my house here in Washington on 08-February-2021 a few hours before leaving back to Maryland.
