Black with large foamy tan head that left excellent lacing. Bitter, roasty and woody with hints of cocoa and smoke. Long finish. Medium body.

A big black highlight of my visit to AG. Creamy head. Appears to be large and inc charge. Nice roasty nose. Has a pretty good initial stout impression. Lots of old damp aged charred campfire wood flavors in this one. Perhaps a little more acceptable than predicted. Yes, there is some of that new brewer astringent bite in this one, like many of their beers, but it does not overshadow the fact that this is a well done stout.
