Very dark brown. Pleasant roasty nose. Dark beer flavors fer sure, smooth. Not over the top considering the abv of this. Old burnt damp campfire wood flavors backed by a little chocolate. Better than expected. Quite tasty on the finish. Yes, a well made stout, it really hides the alky very nice. Smooth ending. Not sure if this is really a pastry stout, But its not bad.
