Butelka 33cl (BB 31.10.2028). Suszone owoce, jabłka z subtelną nutą cynamonu i wanilii.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 13/01/24. Almost clear deep chestnut brown with a thin beige cap. Nose is stewed fruits, bubblegum, light spice, dark malts, toffee. Taste comprises dark malts, toffee, fruit cake mix, warming Calvados on the gullet, light spice, dates, figs. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Tidy sipper.

27th December 2023 Almost clear amber brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head that is gone very quickly. Palate is very slightly viscous but it doesn't feel heavy thanks to the good fine carbonation. Smooth malts, a little creamy sweetness and a touch of toffee. Thankfully the cinnamon, whilst clearly present, is not overdone. The toffee element of the malts gets richer and darker at the same time as the Calvados barrel kicks in and provides that spicy apple. The light touch of vanilla brings it all together I to a spicy boozy and pretty crisp finish. A different barleywine this one, not a desert barleywine but something a bit different as well. Entertaining and drinkalble.
