500ml bottle. Black, thin off-white head, minimal retention. Aroma is big on milk chocolate notes but also there is some roastiness and sweetness. Its smooth with a soft carbonation, again chocolate is there in the taste with a roasty background, only semi-sweet with a mild bitterness at first but it gently builds nicely.

Cask at the Pup and Ducking, Solihull. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, light caramel, liqourice, coffee, chocolate, ashtray,. The flavour is moderate sweet and liqourice bitter, with a smooth, rich, slightly oily, liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Half-pint, cask hand-pulled in the lovely White Hart, Shifnal on 21st Jan 2015. Deep, dark ruby body, on top a beige topping. Loads of milk chocolate in the nose and taste, but not overly sweet. Mild bitter finish rounds off the beer nicely: decent.
