Blend of double barrel-aged stouts.
The third blend of Plato's Shadow showcases the depth and age that the Private Press barrel program has gained over the past four years. This year's barrel components include Elijah Craig, Subtle Spirits Rye, Heaven Hill, George Dickel, Old Elk, and Wild Turkey. The culmination of this group of barrels and their varied aging times showcases tones of rich vanilla, berry-forward dark chocolate, and affogato. A burnt marshmallow and toffee character builds as the beer opens and warms.

Tap at Ale Arsenal. Pours deep brown with lighter highlights and small deep brown head. Cloying legs down the glass. Dark chocolate, cocoa powder and boozy aroma. Flavor is rich chocolate, massive whiskey booze on the back half. Syrupy and viscous.
