The Edge of Time is a single oak aged Barleywine conditioned for 14 months in 2 Blanton’s Bourbon barrels. It is reminiscent of fine dry sherry, achieving a layered character of creme brûlée, bourbon drenched toasted almonds, hard crack toffee and a dried apricot and fig fruitiness. We recommend allowing your pour to warm to close to room temperature and allowing the carbonation to diminish so that all of the rich flavors may speak without restriction.

Bottle pours out cola brown topped with a small tan head. Nose is sweet caramel toffee pitfruit malts a little brown sugar and a nice bourbon barrel treatment. Taste is more of the nice sweet malt combo pitfruit and the bourbon barrel vanilla notes.

Bottle. Pours clear mahogany with a small tan head and minimal residual or lacing. Aroma is bourbon, oak tannin, dark sugars, werthers, toffee, date. Flavor is quite sweet, light bitter, boozy without being cloying. Excellent Barleywine, but a clear second to the the masterpiece that is X.

12.7oz bottle pours with a clear deep mahogany colored body that supports a thin short lived mocha colored ring of foam. The aroma offers up molasses and sugary malt infused dates and prunes running along side smooth smelling bourbon notes and a touch of boozy heat at the end of the draw. The taste delivers smooth slick rich slippery sweet malts melded up to sweet molasses and thin layers of sweet dates and brown sugar stewed plums. Wow. This is deep and fun. The barrel treatment is there creating another smooth flavor facet with supple notes of bourbon and sherry flowing into a modest boozy warming sensation. Top notch barleywine.
