Session strength pale brewed to showcase the great American hop – Amarillo. Amber malt is added to the mash to give an extra dimension and a biscuit base, then the zesty orange and pithy bitterness from the Amarillo takes you for a ride.

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 25 Nov 2018) Pale amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, grapefruit, some resin and grass. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, resin, grass, biscuits and a balanced citric bitterness. Light body, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing, with a good hop profile. Nice one.

Keg at Empress of Broughton, small creamy head, clear deep yellow color, lemony, candy aroma with some herbs and a hint of onion coming through, grassy flavor with a hint of citrus, light bready maltiness behind and a light herbal bitterness. Nice and simple.

Cask at the Nags Head, Reading. A pale amber pour with a thin cream head; floral aroma with a touch of citrus; dry, floral taste with some hay; and a slightly sweeter grassy finish. Solid but unexciting.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 5th August 2016. Crystal clear copper with shallow off-white foam. Rich, biscuit malt aroma. Citric hops and spices blend harmoniously in-mouth with the malts. A grassy kick. Bitter grassiness in the upper rear mouth dominates the finish. A fair amount of body for its strength, and an engaging mouthfeel.
