Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with a creamy dark tan head. Smoky aroma. Full bodied. Flavor is smoky, dark treacle, hints of chocolate and coffee. Very tasty.

Bomber to pint glass. Black with deep brown head. Chocolate and moderate roast. Complex and flavorful.

Sample at the Tehachapi Beer & Wine Festival on 07/18/2015: Brown-black color with a medium foamy tan head that dissipates steadily. Strings of lacing. Roast malt, anise and dark fruit in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of charred malt, black licorice and dark fruits. The finish is roasty with a malty aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bomber from Imbibe Wine. Nose is chocolate, char, expresso, and a bit of vanilla. Black with a medium cinnamon tan head that laces lightly. Flavor is chocolate, vanilla, and some smoke. Actually a very nice impy!
