ABV: 9.0%. Clear dark black brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, wood - woody, coffee, moderate chocolate - coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, wood - woody, roasted, coffee, chocolate, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20200125]

Cask at the Gas Lamp, Manchester. Black with a creamy light brown head. A slow dense supping brew, it's not too roasted and not too coffee either in its dark malts. It has a light sticky sweetness with some ice cream flavour in its sweetened finish.
