This Export version of Alice Porter is available in the UK exclusively to our Equity Punks. In addition it is exported to Norway due to their 4.7% abv rule for beer in normal stores.

Weighing in at 4.6% ABV, Alice Porter hides a huge complexity behind her modest strength - it's roasty and smooth with a fruity, rich coffee character.

Alice Porter takes a sudden twist in an unexpected direction; a blend of hops that add a light, balancing citrusy twist and a subtle spiciness.

Bottle 330ml @ Geokkjer
Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and lots of coffee. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long coffee, chocolate, caramel and roasted finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. A dark brown, almost black beer topped by a small, light beige head. The aroma is nice but a bit weak perhaps, with roasted malts, coffee and some cellar and nuttyness. Toffee hints. The flavor is more on the toffee side, roasted and burnt malts, some nuts and a little bitterness. Medium to full body and a soft carbonation, rather dry and with a lasting toffee-ish, roasted finish. A fine beer, but sort of uninteresting in a way. Can’t really explain why 160312

Bottle shared in Richmond - many thanks to Paul. Pours clear, reddish brown with a creamy tan head. The nose holds ashy roast, burnt toast, scorched earth. Light sweet flavor with dry roast, burnt meat, bitter dry earth, burnt line. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry finish, lightly sweet, with note of baking cocoa and moderate scorched earth. Not bad. Easygoing.

Bottle from BrewDog Online. It pours pretty much black with a decent light tan head. The nose is rich roast, dark chocolate, earth, coffee grounds, mocha and rocky road. The taste is bitter, rich roast, umami, liquorice, cacao nibs, slightly burnt coffee, herbal, light spice and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Pretty flavoursome for the abv. A solid porter by any measure.
