Rich, smoked chocolate ending in a malted cookie dough flavour. Cascade and Summit hops pave the way for a subtle spiciness while releasing notes of robust orange, tangerine and grapefruit. Amber in colour with a surprising sweet fruitiness and left to ferment for four weeks to give an added depth.

Ingredients: Water, malt, barley, hops, yeast.

Keg at the tap. Earth spicy rye aroma. Hazy red tinged brown. Thick fluffy foamy white head. Light-medium bitter. Spicy. Sour bread (Nordic style, not bread that is literally sour). A touch of underlying sweetness. Light bodied. Slick if thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry finish. A relaxed rustic beer... liquid sour bread. I like.

11/8/2018. Bottle from Honest Brew. Pours dark amber with a lasting towards beige head. Aroma of hops, fruit, malt, bread, cake, nut and biscuit. Light sweetness, and a medium, earthy bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily and watery texture, bit above average carbonation.

330ml bottle. Pours a misty deep amber brown, small persistent off-white head. Aroma is lightly malty, nutty. Taste is similarly nutty, woody with a gentle, unexpected smokiness and distant spicy hints. As the descriptor suggests I imagine this would be better suited to a nice smoked, salty, charcuterie pairing. As it is, it appears somewhat lacking.
