(Cask at Rake, Borough, London, 22 Nov 2019) Dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with chocolate, coffee, smoke and roasted malt. Roasted, malty taste with notes of chocolate, coffee, dark bread, a touch of smoke and a balanced roasty bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced with a gentle smoke touch. Nice one.

Cask at the Rake, 20/11/19. Light black with a tan covering that dissipates edgeward. Nose is smoked malts, light roast, charr, dried fruits. Taste comprises smoked malts, cocoa sprinkle, burnt sugar, Frazzles, biscuit, light campfire. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light dryness in the close. Decent flavoursome offering for the ABV.
