Seven malts have been carefully combined to produce a good bodied oatmeal stout with flavours of dark chocolate and subtle roasty notes. Look out for our cat Elmo balancing in the scales of justice!

Cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Very dark brown with a loose uneven tan head. Creamy oats float over the burnt caramel, Ash, salt liquorice and bitter cooking chocolate in the aroma. Taste is overall sweet and creamy with a depth of flavour underneath. The finish is dry and ashy with suggestions of blackberry. Oily body, no carbonation. What a beer.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish brown with a small tan head. There’s roasted malts and oats in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet and fruity with a creamy texture. Flavour has oats, chocolate and roasted malts with a fair proportion of dark fruits coming through later leading to a fruity and slightly sweet finish. This is rather nice.
