500 mL bottle. Pours a deep mahogany to brown, small tan head that dissipates quickly, no lacing. Muted biscuit aroma, banana, toffee, some apple or pear. Taste is the same with some rye spice added, very smooth and easy to drink for a red ale that can become very annoying and cloying by the end.

Bottle from Drinkstore, Dublin [260614]
Dark chestnut amber, frothy off white head, hazy, some lacing
Aroma of fruity caramel malts, bit earthy, soft spicy malts, getting the rye
Taste of fruity caramel, nice toasted malts, spicy malts, bit of toffee, soft rye notes, some soft orange citrus hop, dab of brown bread in there, doesn’t seem like 6.2%, very nice
Palate - soft carb, medium body, good mouthfeel, quite oily, excellent sweet bitter balance. Finish of lingering soft bitter hops, sweet caramel malts
Overall - Impressed with this, well put together....can’t wait to try the other specials.

Cask at The Black Sheep. Dark amber with a thin head. Aroma is fruit and rye. Flavour is malty fruit, a smokey rye base, a little spicy hop on the finish.
