Our 6% WIPA is packed full of one of the nicest hop varieties this planet has to offer (Nelson Sauvin) to give gooseberry and grapefruit notes. We’ve used loads of pale wheat malt, torrified wheat and rolled oats to give a silky smooth mouthfeel, and fermented using an American ale yeast so it has a clean, crisp end.

Tasted a bit Funky ...

Can. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. A brewery that I normally swerve, but you know, this is in a can with a promise of gooseberry and grapefruit from packing the beer with nelson. American ale yeast. Oats and wheat. What can wrong? Holy shit! For a start it’s completely clear, with a thick, bright white head (admittedly it’d make a good looking pils). The aroma is a grim mix of clarified butter and privet leaves. The taste is horribly bitter, with a buttery sweetness. Flabby mouthfeel. Nasty bitterness to finish. Bad.
