Bottle at home, picked up from Mother Arch ii, 15/03/24. Lighter shade of black with a good sized lasting khaki head. Nose is chocolate, toffee, dried fruits, dusty hop backnotes, charr, biscuit, faint liquorice. Taste comprises cocoa powder, toffee, earthy roast, charr, brown bread, dried fruit rinds, cocoa dusting. Medium bodied, fine massaging carbonation ... Solid Kernel mouthfeel, light drying close cloaked with a spattering of dusty hops. Solid on point hopped dry on par with the series if not one of the top dogs.
