Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 15/05/2026.
Black topped with a tan cap that veers to the edge.
Nose is rich roast, dried fruit esters, mellow barrel, toffee, spice, booze tickle.
Taste comprises chocolate dipped raisins, spice, mellow Armagnac tones, fruit cake mix, toffee.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Tidy BA sipper.

Pretty much a clear dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head that doesn't last long at all. Smooth palate, fairly light, modest fine carbonation. Soft malts that feel more barleywine than imperial porter. Tangy caramel - toffee but not that sweet. The Armanagac barrel brings good soft brandy soaked ripe fruits, some date and mild prune. Soft barrel induced vanilla. Smooth finis. Comes together very well. A soft and rich brew that goes down far too easy.

500ml bottle. Jet black colour, no head - just some dark brown bubbles at the bezel. BA supported, condensed, chocolately and slightly roasty, dark malty aroma, notes of dark chocolate, chocolate sauce, couverture, some Armagnac. Taste is BA supported if not already slightly BA dominated, sweet-ish, chocolately, slightly roasty, dark malty, caramel malty and minimally woody, herbal-fruity alcoholic notes of Armagnac, dark chocolate, dark caramel; well hidden/embedded alcohol.
Viscous texture, smooth and super soft, silky, minimally cloying palate, very fine, soft to flat carbonation.
Very homogeneous, balanced - good.

On tap at WBF 2025, pours black, no head. Aroma is full of boozy spirit, dark dried fruits, and sticky sugars. Flavour is boozy but complex, with tons of Armagnac dominating, with sticky sugars and dark dried fruits. Integrated and complex. Excellent.

Bottle pour at Warsaw Beer Festival 2025. Pours dark brown. Gentle roast, some black liquorice, and a touch of armagnac on the nose. Flavour has soft toasted bread, some black liquorice, brown sugar, and a touch of armagnac. Very nice.

Pours clear brown with a bubbly orange brown head. Looks like a barrel aged porter alright. Super nice boozy barrel aged porter aroma booze is very prominent, roasted malts are dry and crisp, in the background licorice and woody notes, the cognac and the roasted malts blend very well, together with wood crating quite a complex yet crisp and clear aroma.
flavor is even better than aroma, licorice, roasted malts, nicely attenuated by the cognaq, also salt licorice, warm woody notes. Unlike stouts which might have more body and chewiness this porter keeps its crispness while still having tons of complexity. Very good barrelling project.
