As the temperature drops, Yeti waxes the runners on his sled while visions of bold imperial stouts dance in his head. When the sleigh bells ring and the first flakes of snow begin to fall, Peppermint Bark Yeti is the antidote to winter’s bitter pall. The inclusion of peppermint chunks, chocolate, vanilla and lactose round out the roastiness and bitterness normally associated with Yeti making for a sweeter, holiday-themed version of our legendary imperial stout.

On tap at The Beer Junction, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of rich roasted malt, peppermint, and dark cocoa. Flavour reveals a surprisingly nice incorporation of the peppermint into the base Yeti, retaining the robust roasted malt, dark cocoa, and espresso undertones. Rich, cohesive, balanced, and powerful. Excellent Yeti variant.

12 ounce can from Wine Warehouse, 5/6/23. Very dark brown, large brown head, good retention. Aroma of mint, roast, dark chocolate. Taste is chocolate, roast, cherry, mint. Slick, oily. Well balanced. The mint blends nicely. Nice beer.

Very cool designed can. Festive. Pours a near jet black hue with a medium white head. A big sweet nose, roast, cocoa. Light mint. The flavor is sweeter than the regular Yeti, not too sweet, clear peppermint, the base is huge of course and holds up. Roast. Licorice. Solid.

On tap at Homestead, Meridian. Black pour, great dark toasty chocolate sweet aroma, flavors are similar but the modest peppermint comes though more here. Subtle still though. Quite sweet but balanced as a flavors party stout. Very tasty

Can/Fest. A- Mild peppermint, cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Roasty, char, cocoa, peppermint. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Sorta peppermint patty like but the mint flavor is a bit muted. More roasted cocoa powder than anything and really not that boozy. I expected more from a Yeti but it was still good.
