Belgian Blonde Mk. 2

We used the same Belgian yeast and fermentation profile to achieve our favourite pear ester that we did in Herge's Blonde. The only difference is a slight increase in hops to balance the malt sweetness

Bottle at home. Pours golden, nose is candi sugar, grassy, pear, lemon, taste is similar, fairly sweet with a grassy, herbal finish. 3.4

Bottle from my brethren. Aroma is dank and earthy. Sweet malts with a woody edge. Clear gold. Thick foamy white head. Juicy with a sour edge. Peripheral wood. Chunky but damp malts. Develops a vinous streak. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Just doesn't do it for me. The combinations are just not fulfilling.
