Inspired by a mind blowing dessert created by a Nordic eatery that popped up in the middle of the Mexican jungle. Pasilla mixe chiles, honey, cocoa nibs and tangerine peel. It’s wild. Oh yeah, baby.

Can 355ml (Beergium)
Dark brown colour, small steady beige head. Toasted, ginger bread, alcohol, cocoa aroma. Full-bodied. Roasted, honey, cocoa, vanilla, dark chocolate, some chilli in the flavour. Nice mild chilli burn in the aftertaste, warming alcohol. Better than ratings indicate.

31 July 2019. At Bar Beenhouwer, Ghent. Cheers, Anke & Pieter! 33cl can. Pours hazy black with a lasting, small, foamy, dark beige head. Aroma of fondant, orange peel, dark honey, dried fig, toast, walnut, black olive, cashew. Taste is light to medium malty sweet, notes of dark fruits (fig, raisin) drenched in chocolate, a tad nutty too; bitter core of toast, fondant & orange peel, still pairing nicely with sweet maltiness & an umami touch of black olive. Dryish, earthy hoppy finish, toasty, bitter cocoa nibs more apparent now, as well as roasted nuts & peppery chili; some warming coffee liqueur-like alcohol. Medium to full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Indeed a wild & 'restless' Imperial Stout that wants a bit of everything, but the execution is good.

Can bought at Kihoskh. Black with a small tan head. Aroma and taste of dark malt, chocolate, some cocoa and light chili. The body was on the light side and the alcohol well hidden.

12 oz. can. Pours black, with a thick, persistent, brown head. The aroma is rye, burnt toast, cedar, harsh coffee, smoky chiles, and bitter cocoa. Sweet and malty, with a sharp, unpleasant bitterness. Heavy body, with a thin, astringent palate. This is a funky and unique stout, and tasty. A little oddly flavored and thin, but not bad.
