4th July 2015: hand-pulled cask pint in The Post Office Vaults, Birmingham. Ruby hue to the reddy brown body, the head a thin but full affair, off-white. Different is a good word to describe the brew, it’s aroma and taste. Mixed bag really, German Rye Bread came to mind, but with a fruit filling: it was also salty and earthy, with a little citrus bitterness in the finish.

Tried at the Threekingham beer festival. Rich ruby colour with a thin off white head. Aroma has rye but lots of citrus hops too. Taste is fruity palate a bit oily.

Gravity, half pint, mini fest at Flower Pot. Deep dark brown body colour with a ruby glint. Low patchy surface. Taste of dark chocolate joined by a touch of dark fruits. Taste of dark bread, dark chocolate and dusty hops. Roasted malt-fruity ending. Easy to drink. Satisfying (Derby 21.02.2015).
