Draft @ Brews ’n Blues fest in Gloucester VA: Lightly toasted barley malt and dried leaves aroma, with hints of spice, perhaps cloves. Clear dark amber thin head, decent lacing. Barley malt, dried leaves, potpourri flavor. Medium body, maybe a touch too much for the style but still ok. More bitter in the end than most Octoberfests. Quite similar to the Fall Bock I’m told it is replacing in the brewer’s seasonal offerings. This beer was very popular at the event where I was a volunteer.
