Oak chipped firkin on tap at Capital Ale House - Downtown on 09/10/2009. Cloudy orange amber body with a medium frothy off-white head. Citrus and resiny hop aroma with light oak. Sweet citrus and resiny hop flavor with some light oak on a toasty malt background. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

on cask @CapAle Pre-Richmond Gathering 9-pours no head and hazy amber color. Aroma is orange, wood, medium malt. Taste is orange/resin hops bite, wood/alcohol, medium malt.

Served via firkin at Capital Ale House Downtown Richmond, VA. Pours a hazy bronzish red color with a small head, and poor head retention and lacing. The firkin is a few days old so weakened carbonation is to be expected. Aroma is caramel, toffee, leafy hops, booze, wood. Taste is leafy hops, caramel, booze, peppery wood notes, nuts. Bitter finish. Medium bodied. Well balanced.
