Fresh growler from the brewery. Pours a clear copper color with a small head. Decent head retention and average lacing. Aroma is toffeish and toasted malts with some mild spice. Taste is toffee, brown sugar, earth with a spicy finish. Some faint fruity notes also. Medium bodied. Damn good, this one. Does the brewery realize they’re going at the rate of more than one new Ale of Fergus beer a month?
