On tap at the brewpub on 10/10/2009. Dark black body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet roast and chocolate aroma with a bit of oatmeal. Sweet roast and creamy oatmeal flavor. Medium body with moderately low carbonation. 7/5/7/4/14 - 3.7 On tap at the opening of the brewpub on 11/21/2008. Dark brown body with a medium creamy light brown head. Sweet light roast and chocolate aroma. Sweet light roast and faint chocolate flavor. Light body with low carbonation. 6/4/5/3/11 - 2.9

Served on draft at the brewery on opening day. I didn’t see a nitro tap at the bar, but this looked to be from a nitro tap from the head, that had bubbles so small the head looked solid. Defnitely high retention and lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, smoke and caramel. Slightly bitter taste of caramel and roasted malts. Thin bodied and it seems like something is missing here.
