Taste comprises chocolate, charr, dark malts, spice, toasted brown sugars, hint of coffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close with a balanced roasted blast. Tidy stout.

Cask at Flowerpot, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with minimal off-white head and good lacing. There’s malts and dark fruits in the aroma. Roast malts and dark fruits again in the mouth to start. Along with traces of alcoholic strength. There’s a treacly texture, and after a while liquorice and parkin start to come through. Finish is boozy and fruity. This is rather nice.
