5/9/2020. Keg at the Hopmaster General, Rushden. Pours almost black with a small creamy tan head. Aroma is lovely, peanut and chocolate, fudge and touch of vanilla. Towards heavy sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Full body, sticky texture, very soft carbonation. Like a liquid snickers.

Keg at the Real Ale Classroom, Leicester. Black and opaque with a ring of tan head and very sinister lacing. Smells of sweet peanut butter, chocolate, some coconut milk and vanilla. Sweet taste with just a touch of bitterness in the finish. So many imperial stouts are intensely bitter. This one is sweet, well-balanced and user-friendly. Gorgeous beer.
