Figgy Pudding Imperial Brown Ale.

We’ve gone all out to produce this big hitting winter ale. Belgian candi sugar, figs, sultanas and orange peel combined with an array of darker malts and fermented on a Belgian Abbaye strain of yeast will certainly ensure you’re living that exorbitant lifestyle.

Can, huge bubbly head, cloudy dark orange to brown colour, vinous aroma, some of woodiness, flavor vanila, nuttines, almond, dried fruits, candy, a bit of alcoholic bitterness showing medium sweetness. Nice and interesting, a bit too heavy.

13/2/2021. Can sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours almost clear amber with a small frothy/creamy off-white head. Aroma of sweet stewed fruits, hubba bubba bubble gum, toffee, biscuit, dried fruit, Christmas cake. Quite heavy sweetness and light bitterness. Good body, soft carbonation. Slightly medicinal and a little tart to finish. Liked it but seemed it had more potential.

Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 29/01/21 (wee wee hours). Almost clear chestnut brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is stewed fruits, booze, bubblegum, caramel, brown breads ... a little 1D. Taste comprises fruit esters, booze, more bubblegum, sticky toffee pudding, brown sugar melt, sweet. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a good kiss of alcohol. Passable affair ... doesn't deliver much depth to the flavour, ABV considered, and comes across a little harsh at times.

Can: Poured a brown orange with a two finger off white to beige head. Aroma is spicy, soapy, malty. Taste is bubble gum, fruity, sticky, malty, fruity, spice. Not huge alcohol which I would have expected.
