Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours the classic “bitter brown” colour with minimal white head. Floral hops and definite tweaks of marmalade in the aroma. The hoppiness is what is immediately apparent in the mouth. Maramalade again to the fore with some citrus plus treacle and summer fruits to blanace with sweetness. Finish is dry and fruity. This is rather nice.

13/7/2021. Cast at the Rutland Arms, Sheffield. Pours slightly hazy dark amber with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, stewed fruits, bread, hint of prune juice. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Quite drinkable.
