Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear brown with a small, creamy tan head. Light to medium sweet flavour with soft roast, nips of smoke, a little ash, earth, milk chocolate, dried berries, raisins. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with a little more ashy roast, cocoa, tobacco. Enjoyable beer.

330ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - thanks for this one and the whole duo!]. Clear, mahogany colour with deep ruby shimmer and average, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malty and minimally fruity aroma, notes of dark chocolate, some toffee and caramel, a cautious touch of plum, weak smoky overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately and roasty dark malty, minimally smoky, minimally diluted hints of dark chocolate, coffee, a touch of toffee and caramel, very subtle fruity hints of plum and dark berries. Watery texture, minimally dry, crumbly palate, medium carbonation. Very restricted smokiness, a tad too watery - quite nice overall.
