We took our impy stout The Whispers of Edward Mordrake and aged it in Speyside whiskey barrels for 15 months on vanilla. This produced a hugely complex beer delivering whiskey, vanilla, dark fruits, coffee and long bitter chocolate finish.

11/2/2022. Cask at the 12th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours black with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma is woody, dried fruits, milk chocolate, roasted malt, whiskey, vanilla, berries. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a light tart edge. Medium body, slightly creamy, soft carbonation. Dry woody whiskey finish. Good.
