15/1/2022. Can from Beer Without Borders shared with ITFCDan. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of chocolate, ash, roasted malt, dried fruit. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slightly creamy, average to soft carbonation. Good.

Can form Westhill SS. It pours opaque black with a decent khaki head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, toasted pine, oily orange, tangerine, cacao, rather fruity, dark fruits, Terry's chocolate and cacao nibs. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, resin, roasty, fulsome, charry, peppery spice, burnt toast, spice, charred pine, varnish, orange peel, tangerine, dark fruits, toffee, cacao, gateaux, cookie dough and rocky road with a dry, toasty finish. Medium+ body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Robust, flavourful, fruity and moreish. A quality stout.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - dark brown almost opaque, apart from a few orange chinks around the bottom. Cream to tan head. Nose - biscuit and nougat. Taste - Toblerone. Milk chocolate, hazelnuts and nougat again. Palate - medium bodied, dry but elegant roastiness through middle and finish. Overall - this is very well made.
