Cask handpump. Rail Ale fest. Deep brown. Beige froth. Ashy earthy malt. Some greenery. Some char. Taste is tangy bitterness. Lingering dry finish.

8/10/2021. Cask at the 43rd Bedford Beer and Cider Festival. Pours slightly hazy dark brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, milky coffee, blackberry, touch of liquorice and ash. Medium sweetness, light to moderate roasted bitterness. Moderate body, Slight oily texture, soft to flat carbonation. Dry, fruity finish. Good.
