We wanted to try our hand at an American IPA using American Hops & we sourced a new hop (for us) called Centennial & so when we trying to come up with a name for the beer we were looking for something that happened 100 years ago (i.e. Centennial) with an American connection & what we found out was that in 1919 , the legendary Baseball player Babe Ruth (pictured) was transferred from the Boston Red Sox to their bitter rivals, the New York Yankees & subsequently the Red Sox went on a 'trophy-less' run stretching from 1919 right upto 2004 & so the 'Curse of the Bambino' was created - Bambino being Babe Ruth's nickname. Our take on 'Curse Of The Bambino' is a 4.4% 'reddish' American IPA and we hope you enjoy it

1/12/2022. Bottle bought at the brewery. Pours clear dark amber with a small, long-lasting bubbly/frothy off-white head. Good looking beer. Aroma is malty, biscuit, flowers, citrus, caramel, touch of spice. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Moderate body. Slightly oily and chalky, with soft carbonation. Not bad.
