Draft at Rowers Club, Mosman, Sydney, as Shackles. Poured a clear golden colour with a lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is malt and yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth, malty, herbal, aromatic hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

345ml bottle into schooner glass. From Railway Tavern, Glen Innes. Crystal clear golden beer with a fluffy white head. Light carbonation. Light aroma of malt and sour grain. Light effervescent body. Peppery at first with some lingering tin and grain. Easy-drinking, inoffensive. Damning with faint praise I know, but quite agreeable compared to your usual Aussie lagers.
