A historic saison style beer made with calendula and homegrown yarrow flowers yielding a hugely aromatic brew that’s dry and bitter. It’s an excellent aperitif and always ready about a month and a half after the first spring yarrow flowers.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of yeast, lemons, straw, and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, pepper, straw, and yeast, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Capped 750 from Belmont Station. Pours hazy apricot with a creamy off-white head. Aroma is strongly but strangely spicy floral. Med body. Very light carbonation. Makes me think of fennel for some reason. There’s earthy citrus. A very laid back saison. Finishing floral and earthy.

Where the Wild Beers Are, 2012. An unusual aroma of flowers with yeast, and also basil and oregano. More yeast in the aroma, mildly sweet. A cloudy orange beer. The flowers work very well.

Trade via Googzoid10. golden color, thick white head. aroma, lots of floral elements, yeasty and citrus. flavors, saison yeast, mild bitterness, grainy with some wheat, palate is light and some nice citrus hops aromas. Finish is dry with enough carbonation to highlight the floral side of the beer, perfectly balanced with not too much hops to overtake the saison aspect. Really enjoying everything by Upright, they found a perfect niche in the saison style and have refined some wonderfully well crafted brews.
