Keg draught at the Way Station, Thrapston. Very light colour, almost straw. Clear with an small uneven white head and good lacing. Lemony aroma, notes of graining vanilla. Fresh taste with a yeasty character, sweet, more lemon. Light bitterness in the finish. Gentle body with medium carbonation. Not an overly exciting Helles but certainly competent.

24/2/2023. Keg at Two Brews, Colchester. Pours clear pale gold with a small frothy white head. Aroma is grainy, husky fruits, citrus, straw, light herb. Moderate sweetness and bitterness. Moderate body, average carbonation. Drying finish. Good helles.
