Named after the Azacca hop and ‘Star’ from the Polaris hop which, after all, is the North Star, this is a lovely pale ale.
The blend of these two hops, along with Amarillo, gives a lovely tropical hit, with a lingering edge of spice and Mint.

8/4/2024. Cask at the Red Lion, Gatwick Airport North Terminal. Pours clear pale golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is peachy, tropical fruits, grapefruit, orange, grass. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Moderate body, average to soft carbonation. Nice drying bitter finish. Also an easy drinker (and it’s now 6:25am).

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A pale amber pour with a thin white head; fruity aroma; tropical fruit taste with a dry bready body; then a strong bitter grapefruit finish with a touch of spice. Very tasty.

Cask at the Waterloo Tap, 16/11/18. Clear golden blonde with a decent off white head. Nose is mellow citric peel, straw, airy malts, tangerine. Taste comprises grassy bite, orange peel, melon, crackers, grains. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with moderate hop bitterness. On the whelming side of things.
