Draft at the Shaking Hand, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a mostly clear medium amber with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter, with a smooth, somewhat rich, malt, toffee caramel, burnt treacle, herbal, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Large foamy white head on a murky dull amber coloured body.
Minimal aroma of bitter hops.
Medium bodied, foamy on tongue with a lively cloying back.
Malt, pine, grapefruit & grassy tastes.
Nicely balanced - Ike a cross between Traditional & Craft Ale.

30/3/2024. Bottle shared with ITFCDan. From a shop on Kingsland Road, Dalston. Pours clear bright copper gold with a frothy white head. Aroma is old hops, caramel, stewed fruits, syrup, spicy edge. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily, average carbonation. Not so great.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from the Wine Cellar, Dalston. Pours clear honey-hold with a tight, frothy white head. Light sweet flavour with pleasant earth hop character, some citrus peel, a little dirty grass and pine. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Clean bitterness to finish, mildly dry, more earth, soft pine. Nice one. It grew on me.

Tap I think at Cinnamon Kitchen, 14th October 2021. Pours a hazy yellow beer. Aroma is earthy and caramel. Taste is distinctive and earthy, with light citrus and toffee. Not bad
