Panda courtesy of Fergus, cheers! Dark brown colour, some beige bubbles on top and aroma of malt, chocolate, caramel, nut. Taste is sweet, chocolatey, caramel, slight doughnut, pastry, vanilla hints, with hazelnut notes and light bitterness. Medium bodied, light carbonation, chocolatey & nutty bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

440ml can purchased at Mad Squirrel, Amersham, Bucks. A very dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium off white/beige head on top. Roasty, malty, hazelnut, caramel aroma and taste. Not overly complex but it's OK.

Can at home picked up from Watford Mad Squirrel. A clear nut brown coloured pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty, lactose, creamed hazelnut, light roast. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, lactose sweetness, light woody roast, creamy hazelnut. . ok a little flabby. Palate is semi sweet, oily, flabby, moderate carbonation. Ok.

Keg at MS High Wycombe, 23/12/24. Lighter shade of black with a lasting tan head. Nose is caramel, nutty, dark malts, brown sugar sprinkle, light coffee bean. Taste comprises mellow roast, charr, dried fruit rinds, molasses, roasted toned, touch of coffee, light spice, toffee fudge. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Okay pastry but none of the advertised ingredients really sing for a 6.5% affair!
