[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A chestnut pour with loose cream head that laces the glass nicely; malty aroma; malty taste with some autumnal fruits; then a touch of fudge leading into an earthy finish with some. A pleasant seasonal bitter.

Cask at Mad Squirrel, Amersham, Bucks. A dark brown coloured pour with a medium off white bubbly head on top. Sweetish, malty, fruity, caramel taste/aroma. Pleasant enough ESB.

Cask at mad Squirrel watford. A clear nut brown coloured pour with a lasting loose beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty brown bread, twiggy, raisin, bread crust, woodland walk. Palate is semi sweet, simple, rounded, decent cask condition, easy going. Flavour is composed rustic brown malts, bark, mild roast, fruit loaf, lingering firm bitterness. Decent enough.

Cask at MS High Wycombe, 13/12/24. Deep chestnut brown with a lasting beige head ... a solid looking cask affair. Nose is toffee, brown bread, nutty, dried fruit rinds. Taste comprises fruit slice, biscuit, toffee, light spice, earthy fruit rinds. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close with a mellow bitter edge. Tidy cask affair.
