Pours black with a small, creamy, lasting, tan head. The aroma is roasted malts, coffee grounds, with some charred grain notes. A moderately sweet and roasted taste, roasted malt, black coffee, and some bitter chocolate flavours with a bittersweet roasted finish.

Keg at the Sureshot taproom, MCR, 04/10/24. Black with a khaki cap that retains well. Nose is roast malts, burnt toffee, dried fruit esters, light charr. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, roasted bite, charr, toffee, dates, brown bread, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Tidy porter.

On tap at The Rusty Bucket Pub, Bexley. Black pour with a beige head. Nice nose of dark chocolate, coffee, raisin, smoke. Roasty, toasty taste of dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, raisin, smoke, burnt toast. Sweet roasty finish.
