Cask at the Cock Tavern, Hackney, 02/11/24. Black topped with a khaki head that thins to a swirl. Nose is roasted tones, charr, dried berry fruits, earthy. Taste comprises charr, liquorice, cocoa sprinkle, light roasted elements. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spattered with mellow earthy hop bitterness. Okay cask CDA.

(Cask at Tapping the Admiral, Kentish Town, London, 16 Nov 2023) Dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of chocolate, citrus and dried fruit. Malty, hoppy taste with dark bread, chocolate, coffee, citrus, grapefruit and a balanced citric/piney bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.
