Keg at BD Waterloo, 02/11/24. black topped with a tan cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is chocolate, charr, spice, roast malts, dark fruit rinds. Taste comprises bitter roast, chocolate churros, hint of green pepper, spice, charr, dried fruit rinds. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough impy sipper if stuck a little between 3rd and 4th gears.

Crowler from BD Inverurie. It pours jet black with a decent khaki head. The aroma is dark roasted malt, rich and decadent, bitter - sweet, dark chocolate, praline, nuttiness, warming spice, chilli, dull smoke, mexican hot chocolate, vanilla cake frosting, churros and some coffee grounds. The taste is dry, dark roasted malt, bitter - sweet, cacao nibs, dark chocolate, peppery, warming chilli spice, coffee, charcoal, umami, liquorice, earth and limited alcohol presence with a. Toasty finish. Medium+ body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Strikes a very nice balance. Good bitterness, sweetness and spice.
