This American IPA uses some of our favorite classic NW hops in the boil and copious amounts of Azacca and Simcoe for late hopping. These varieties drive wonderfully hoppy notes of grapefruit, mango, pineapple, tangerine, stone fruit and pine into the flavor and aroma. A small percentage of the malt bill uses rye malt as a supporting role to help create a biscuity malt balance and a smooth body. This approachable and delicious West Coast IPA appeals to a wide variety of drinkers.

Can sample at a tasting at troubles’s place. Thanks Alon. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of mild citric hops, a bit of rye spiciness, malt. Sweetish flavor with malt, a bit of rye, caramel note, and bitterish citric hops. Medium-bodied. A bit too mild, but still OK.

Tap. Pours clear pale Amber, small off white head, good lacing. Aroma is dank, melon, cat piss. Flavor follows, seems like there is simcoe in this one, tasty and dank, light sweet, light bitter. Medium body. Well crafted. Best of show for Denizens, on this day at least. I did not get any Rye spiciness, fwiw.

Had this on tap at Mussel Bar in Bethesda MD. Poured a cloudy orange color with a small white head. Aroma was notes of grapefruit, orange citrus notes, some yeast and a touch of spicy rye bread. Flavor had nice citrus character, with some rye spice. Tasty hops.
