0,5l can from WCB Dark Lab Osaka, enjoyed @ Rantakylä. Pours cloudy deep amber with a low off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, oak. Flavour is sweet malts, oak, whisky, liquorice, alcohol, hops. Excellent.

16oz @ Matt's new place. Appearance: copper with a beige head. Aroma: phenolic, caramel, fruity. Taste: same, sweet and bitter, lots of caramel and fruity character, like candy. But it lacks the balance. Overall: ok.

500mL can, pours a hazy deep dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out deep caramel, miscellaneous barrels, toffee, and subdued resinous hops. Flavour is surprisingly complex, with rich caramel, toffee, resinous hops, and lots of barrels. Rich, barrel-y, lots of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, and resinous hops in good balance. Excellent.

Dark amber. No head. The aroma is a headsy, all kinds of phenols, from bubblegum to worse. On the palate, it's got a lot of caramel, and then there's also phenols. Some alcohol but this is a mess.

Tap at the brewery. Deep amber-brown, clear, with lace. Rich and tart, brandy or cognac notes, grapes, apple, caramel, vanilla, bourbon, raisin. Complex. Big bourbon and brandy flavors, treacle and caramel, seems almost Belgian in the spicy yeastiness. Impressive.
