A dark copper-colored classic German high fermentation beer from the historic region of Westphalia and Düsseldorf. Alt from Hailuoto follows the German Altbier tradition, combining the nature of high fermented beer and the style of low fermented lager, which gives the beer a cleaner taste compared to British ales. The moderate taste and classic German aroma make this beer elegant and tasty.

Bottled. Brownish amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is grainy, floral, toasted and some mild wooden notes. Swing-top bottle 0.75cl. present from friends bought at the source, @home poured into a shaker. Slightly hazy copper colour, good frothy beige head, half-way lasting, light lacing. Aroma toasted malt, cara malt, caramel, biscuit, light overripe apples, earthy notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, caramel, biscuit, light overripe apples, grainy notes. Light to medium body, oily texture, sweetbitter aftertaste, light biscuit notes.

Bottle from a trade with jappp. Kiitos. Aroma is doughy, with fruit and candy sugar. A touch veg too. Clear treacle brown. Thick foamy off-white head. Medium bitter. Grainy. With a sour vinous and berry streak that comes to the fore. Light bodied. Slick. Fizzy carbonation. Dry astringent finish. Enjoyable if basic. No complaints.

[ As Hailuodon Altbier ].Murky matt - grey medium to light amber colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, wheat - yeast, caraml, dark malt, sweet malt, sugary. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sugary, wheat - yeast, caramel, sweet malt.
