A dark copper-colored classic German high fermentation beer from the historic region of Westphalia and Düsseldorf. Alt from Hailuoto follows the German Altbier tradition, combining the nature of high fermented beer and the style of low fermented lager, which gives the beer a cleaner taste compared to British ales. The moderate taste and classic German aroma make this beer elegant and tasty.

RBESG 2017, sampled on July 23, 2017 @ One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Pours clear amber, bit of foam. Again some wort aroma, malty nose. Sweetish and in need of more hops. Taste is actually not so bad. Some herbal hops, medicinal. Well, not balanced, bit sour Not really where I’d like it to be.

33 cl bottle @ Timo A. PANOS #2, BBE 01.01.2018
Aroma has sweet malty tones. Flavour has berries, sweet and harsh malt, some bready tones and mild vegetable notes. Decent, the berries and vegetables disturb a bit here though.
