Keg at Taphouse CPH, 11/11/17 - DK rate #1,000 for the Bois. Hazed amber with a decent light beige cap. Nose is fruit rinds, spice, brown bread, dates. Taste comprises light yeast strains, caramel, fruit slice, dried fruits, dates, spice. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Average Belgo affair and lacks depth for the hefty ABV.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with airy beige head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with fruity nos and touches of booze. Bitter, boozy and roasty flavour, with notes of malt and yeast and touches of hops and nut. High carbonation. Roasty and estery aftertaste. Not that bad but unnecessarily boozy and overcarbonated.

Bottle, 8.5%. Weak malty syrup aroma. Hazy dark red brownish colour. Good stable tan head. The flavour starts off with a little malt syrup touch and goes on to a fairly rough bitterness. A very dry bitterness, and not really balanced well enough by the malt.

Bottle. An unclear brown beer with a dense two-finger thick white head leaving curtains. Lightly funky nose with a spiced touch and caramel. Some dried fruits as well, both in aroma and flavor. Caramel, spices, dark bread and a funky touch. Too much bitterness for the style I think. Full body with a good carbonation and a little warmth. Lasting finish. A nice beer indeed but too bitter. 171229

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, amber with an off-white head. Sweet, malty nose. Rich, sweet, malty body, some dark, dried fruits with a hint of Belgian yeast. Sweet finish with a hint of chocolate. Maybe the brewery doesn't understand what the word 'funky' means in relation to beer? But it's a decent Belgian Strong. 271217
